Evergreen Group originated as the Evergreen Marine Corporation,
which was established on September 1st 1968 in Taiwan.

Under the leadership of Dr. Y.F. Chang, Evergreen Marine Corp. ran
the first Round-the-World East-West bound full container service and one of
the biggest global shipping companies in the world.
From its solid base in international marine transportation,
the Evergreen Group strives to diversify into related business.

On March 8th 1989, the Evergreen Group developed the Taiwan's first private airline company,
Eva Airways Corporation, and later the Evergreen International Hotels, to begin a brand new era of full service system with air transportation, hotel and recreational services.

The Evergreen Group comprises 8 Evergreen Laurel Hotel in the world:
Taichung (Taiwan), Bangkok (Thailand), Penang (Malaysia), Keelung (Taiwan),
Levallois-Perret (France), Taipei (Taiwan), Fukuoka (Japan), Tainan (Taiwan).
